About the Borgo:

The origins of the Borgo date back to the Middle Ages

-around 1200 dC -.

Located along the road that connected the bridge over the river to the walls of the castle above (which preserves the foundations of the tower and the central square), hosted generations of farmers and artisans, and was probably also a refuge for peolple who traveled in Valdambra , an important crossroad between the three main neighboring cities: Arezzo, Siena and Florence.

My father and my mother bought the property, still intact,in the mid-seventies with the intention to preserve both the character and the function, aware that it had always been a place of encounter and exchange both social and cultural.

About us:

I was born in 1977 and I grew up between cats, dogs, building sites for restoration and many old, young , local and foreign friends. My father Rudi, who is an architect and the material author of the restoration, has given to me the love for manual skills and planning ; my mother Victorina, who studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Firenze, gave me the passion for the humanistic arts.
At the age of eight I decided to take my life path in music and sounds, which is still ongoing (between Tuscany and Marche-where I live-) as a musician and music teacher.

About traveling:

I think that anyone who truly loves his journey across the world , is not primarily interested to know the services that a hotel offers, but rather to know the places, cultures, histories and experiences of other people, by touching with his own hands the life that animates a living space.

Aside from this, I have tried with this simple website to offer a view of the quality of the facility and integrating in it the spirit in which people have lived and experienced these spaces in order to restore not just an idea of a space, but also by giving a witness of human experience.
